The Miller-Erb Nursing Development Fund was established by Mennonite Board of Missions in 1979 with funds generated from the $50,000 sale of Miller Hall in La Junta, Colorado. The funds are to be used to further the commitment to nursing in a spirit of Christian love, understanding and caring for the whole person, to “promote research, leadership and education among Mennonite nurses.” A committee was appointed to allocate funds, using interest from the fund only, and to develop and propose policies and revisions for approval by the board.
