Call for Proposals: Live Your Story

Submit your proposal here

Mennonite Health Services, a member association of Anabaptist health and human services, is hosting its 68th annual Health Assembly in Greenville, SC. The conference is designed to explore the stories we live and how we tell them, share them, interact with them, learn from them, and ultimately live them.

The overall goal of the conference is to renew our sense of story so that it inspires and informs the way we share our past, interact in the present world and carry ourselves and our organizations into the future. The conference will be organized around four overarching tracks. Submissions relating to each of these four tracks are welcome:

  • Leadership
  • Governance
  • Values & Culture
  • Advancement

Submission Guidelines

We welcome submissions that focus on one of the four areas mentioned above as they pertain to the conference theme, Live Your Story. For a list to inspire your thinking, please see the Health Assembly Session Ideas document.

Please submit a maximum 300-word proposal using the form below by September 15, 2019. Notification of acceptance will be sent by October 18, 2019.  If selected to participate in the program, speakers agree:

  • To incur all expenses related to the development and implementation of their sessions. MHS does not pay honorarium, travel, per diem or other costs for breakout speakers. There is a registration pricing reduction of $100 if selected.
  • To submit session material prior to Health Assembly no later than March 2, 2020.
  • To grant your permission to share with attendees prior to or after the meeting.
  • If the session is not chosen for the conference, we may contact you to see if you are interested in providing content for other educational events or formats.
